About John Heerhold

Born and raised in Chicago area and it was home for over 50 years. I love Chicago and it will always be home. As a die hard Chicago sports team fan (Bears, White Sox, Notre Dame, Bulls and Black Hawks) these team will always have a place in my heart.

I remember a friend in Dallas telling me what his property taxes were in Texas. His house was much larger than mine and I still remember the shock of hearing he was paying less than half of what I was paying in Illinois property tax and he had no state Income tax. That was the first kink in the armour for me about my love affair with the home I loved.

Although I loved Dallas and had so many friends there I started to visit Nashville frequently a few years ago. I learned Tennessee also had no state income tax and property taxes were even less in Texas. The state of Tennessee is fiscally responsible. The Nashville area offered a great combination of great restaurants, the best music scene in the country, plenty of outdoor activity and some great boating activity. Combine that with some of the best people you will ever meet.

So I did some math and with the savings of property tax and not having to pay income tax I will save over $14,000 per year by living in Tennessee without any loss of government services. Over 10 years that is 140,000.00 which would allow me to pay all 3 of my kids college tuitions.

So my passion is helping people get more life out of life and although money is not everything, for those looking to get more for their dollar and considering to call Tennessee home I would love to be your Realtor.

Making a decision like this is certainly not an easy one but once you are down here you will understand why the state slogan is Tennessee-America At It's Best
